Proven Leadership

As mayor of Angel Fire, Barry (BJ) Lindsey will strive to improve the basic infrastructure. This includes a strong focus on enhancing the roads, water supply, sewer system, trash management, and ensuring efficient fire, EMS, and  police services.

Workforce Housing

Workforce housing has become a pressing concern, I envision a future where those who work here can also live here, enriching our economy and strengthening our schools.

Enhance Infrastructure

Our infrastructure needs attention. With a carefully crafted plan, we can rebuild our roads, upgrade our systems, and ensure the safety and convenience of our residents.

It Takes A Village

I know that these changes cannot be accomplished by one person alone. It truly takes a village – your village – to create lasting change.

FOR MAYOR OF ANGEL FIRE

Together, we can realize the full potential of Angel Fire and make it the remarkable place we all believe it can be.
— BJ Lindsey

Dear Angel Fire Community,

It is with great excitement and determination that I announce my candidacy for Mayor of Angel Fire. My journey to this decision has been filled with prayer, discussions with my family and close friends, and a deep reflection on the place we call home.

I arrived in Angel Fire in 2003 with my oldest son, Cole, as he was about to start kindergarten. I was drawn to the beauty of this area and the close-knit small town environment, and I knew this was where I wanted to raise my family. With little more than a dream, I embarked on a journey that led me to this incredible community.

Angel Fire has given me so much, and now, I am committed to giving back. My family grew here, and we've been fortunate to build strong connections within our extended community. From meeting my wife Annie in 2005, to the arrival of our children Caroline and Bear, our lives have been intertwined with the spirit of Angel Fire.

But I recognize the challenges we face today. Affordable housing has become a pressing concern, making it difficult for young families to put down roots in our town. I see a solution in cultivating more opportunities for our workforce to own homes, to thrive, and to contribute to our community's growth. I envision a future where those who work here can also live here, enriching our economy and strengthening our schools.

Our infrastructure needs attention too. Our roads and essential services require urgent care. I understand the struggles our public works department faces, and I'm dedicated to providing the resources and support needed to maintain and enhance our infrastructure. With a carefully crafted plan, we can rebuild our roads, upgrade our systems, and ensure the safety and convenience of our residents.

However, I know that these changes cannot be accomplished by one person alone. It truly takes a village – your village – to create lasting change. I promise to work alongside you, with transparency, open communication, and a collaborative spirit. I'll be devoted to finding the right individuals to fill vital roles within Village Hall, and I'll empower our committees to address issues head-on.

As I embark on this journey, I humbly ask for your support and your vote. Together, we can realize the full potential of Angel Fire and make it the remarkable place we all believe it can be. Let's shape our future, preserve our values, and build a legacy of progress that we can all be proud of.

Thank you for your trust and your belief in the power of community.

Sincerely,

Barry D. Lindsey Jr. (BJ)
